Wendy Emley was born and raised in rural New York, and after 20+ years of moving around the world with her military spouse, she and her family have now settled in the Hampton Roads area.  Having lived in Europe, Japan, and several other locations within the U.S., she understands how critically-important selecting the best neighborhood, home, and schools can be to a family because she has experienced how truly unique each situation can be.  She’s mastered the highs and lows that often accompany the process of transitioning into a new home. Her patient, kind, and calming demeanor truly benefit her clients and get them prepared for feeling at “HOME” as quickly and stress-free as possible. 
 
Wendy received her B.S. in Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic College, and then she attended Regent University where she earned her M.A. in Counseling.  This formal education provided the foundation of some of her best attributes, which is understanding and relating to people, problem solving, and communication.  Over the years, she’s further honed those skills working in schools as a guidance counselor, substitute teacher, and volunteer. 
 
Wendy shares her Yorktown home with her husband, their three children, two cats and her doodle dog.  After years of traveling the world, meeting new people, and capturing those memories, she’s utilized her passion for photography to run a small local photography business.  Wendy spends the rest of her free time traveling, hot yoga, reading, exploring the local restaurants, and savoring time with her family.
